Beach House

Not sure if anyone still even reads this but....I figured this was blogworthy.

Just saw Beach House down at the 40 watt. It was the best show I've seen this year easily. Great performers.
They had three large lighted pyramid type things behind them that would change colors. Their playing was super spot-on.

Me gusta mucho.

Now I know why my newest cereal selection is called "Heirloom: Whole Grains." With 9 grams of fiber you can't help but pass it along.

I just ate a big bowl of this cereal called "Hearty Morning Fiber"

LOOK OUT!

I went down to St. Petersburg this week to play for a tenor whom I've been working with. Was a blast. Ate gator, frog legs, lamb, amongst other things...And! Saw this beauty of a seacow along with about 50 others! Made me quite happy!

Cass McCombs - Dreams come true girl

The other night Band of Horses came through Eugene with special Cass McCombs. I just can't decide which set was awesomer. Having never heard Cass before, I was spinning from his song writing. Really smart. And the fact that he is really east coast made it fun to watch! Then watching Ben Bridwell, das leadsinger for BoH, blew my head clean off! Their songs were much much more exciting live than on the recording. Not to say, though, that the recordings aren't grrrrrreat. Anyhow, was probably the best show i've seen while here in Eugenenenenene.

Black Butte

Went over to Central Oregon last week for a little hikesy. It was 4 miles round trip with a heck of a steep incline. But the weather twere perfect and you could see clear to Washington. Gonna miss this place.

Sold my car today...sniff sniff. Got 800 big ones. Going to be consolidating everything i got. The northwest ain't seen the last of me...more sniffing. :(! It'll suck real badlike leaving this place. But for now...It's back to the Dirty South!

Wildwood falls!

Couldn't believe it. Was quite the idyllic swimming hole. Me and friend Andrew had a grand ol' time! We were the first ones there and then started rolling in the locals and the pot and the brews and the tunes. So we scrammed.

Astoria!

I've been and will be in Astoria, Oregon for a week here at the Astoria Music Festival. I get to play for the opera apprenticeship program. Tiring? yes. Do I value alone time and escape from the singers? yes. Just a week more and i'm home free and hanging with loved onessssss!

I'ma graduating this Saturday. Just finished my final final today. Phew. Couldn't be more happy to be done with school for a while. Goodness!

Mom came and went to my recital. Then! We went to Sisters, OR. A mighty cute place. Disneyland cute, not puppy dog cute, though. Here is a photo that we were lucky enough to take. Also we got to play with the Yankee's dogs. The big one is Barnabas and the small one is Evinrude. They were dolls.
