I've been and will be in Astoria, Oregon for a week here at the Astoria Music Festival. I get to play for the opera apprenticeship program. Tiring? yes. Do I value alone time and escape from the singers? yes. Just a week more and i'm home free and hanging with loved onessssss!
Mom came and went to my recital. Then! We went to Sisters, OR. A mighty cute place. Disneyland cute, not puppy dog cute, though. Here is a photo that we were lucky enough to take. Also we got to play with the Yankee's dogs. The big one is Barnabas and the small one is Evinrude. They were dolls.
What a good day! Just heard that my classes are cancelled for the day and then the sun came right out! But not for long. O well. A much needed break. This morning at Eweb the little kiddies were o so cute. I asked..."what day is tomorrow?" Valentine's day! they responded. So we put our arms over our heads to show our sunshines and sang "you are my sunshine." I guess the excitement was too much that after one rousing round of YAMS (you are my sunshine) poor Everett yacked! Didn't seem to bother him too much though. He just pointed at it and looked concerned that there was a mess on the ground. A teacher quickly cleaned it up and gave him a new carpet square. :) Then when I said goodbye to the toddlers, sweet Daly blew me a kiss. Gracious!
